BRAD NOVAK
TIME LINE OF
A VISIONARY
URBAN POP ART
Brad Novak has been shaping the urban art scene in New Zealand, and around the world, since taking on the moniker ‘New Blood Pop’ in 2008.
In the early 2000's his initial inspiration began with the giants of Pop Art, which then phased through to the Street Art global elite (with whom he would one day show) over the following decade.
From 2004 -2014 he travelled extensively - a real-world education in gritty back streets ranging from those in London, Bristol, San Francisco and New York including the iconic 5-POINTZ (where he worked before its destruction), through to the neon alleys of Akihabara (Tokyo) and the laneways of Melbourne closer to home - teaching his young kids that the possibilities in art are endless.
This artist’s vision is ahead of its time and often imitated. He invites you to “get on his starship” and investigate for yourself through a selected walkthrough of a career continually on the move.
